Weapons are the primary method of dealing damage in Apex Legends . In Battle Royale , Apex enters the arena without any weapons equipped, and upon landing must have weapons from an appropriate loot source. A maximum of two firearms can be carried, regardless of the game mode. A weapon's effectiveness and firepower can be increased through add-ons that can help stabilize the weapon, change iron sights, or unlock new fire modes. All weapons are divided into seven categories.
