PUBG: Battlegrounds continues to be strongly supported with post-launch content and updates. The Battle Royale game has been around for four and a half years, and as proof of that, it's approaching season 18 of ranked competition . Season 18 will bring PUBG: Battlegrounds' 18.1 update , and Krafton shared some details ahead of the update's launch. PUBG: Battlegrounds players can expect some exciting changes, including the return of the original Sanhok map to Team Deathmatch Mode.
Sanhok was PUBG: Battlegrounds' third and first map with 4x4 kilometers, making it perfect for fast-paced and aggressive battles. However, for various reasons, Krafton "reworked" Sanhok, overhauled the map and completely changed its gameplay. Along with Season 17, in response to feedback, Krafton returned Sanhok to its original form for battle royale modes. With Season 18 , Krafton is also bringing the original Sanhok back to Team Deathmatch Mode.
Update 18.1 will also feature extensive item rebalancing. This means that the proportions of items on any map change, so it will take some time to get used to the loot again. Players in regular matches will notice a buff to total item spawn rates on both Erangel and Miramar, and an increase in healing items, along with some changes to certain item spawn rates to slightly increase the current healing. The Krafton team states that increased weapon and attachment spawn chances cause players to be more aggressive overall, thus increasing demand for healing items.
The final focus of the new update is, of course, the launch of Season 18. Season 18 is the latest Ranked game season available in PUBG: Battlegrounds . There is a notable change to Ranked play for Season 18 , which is that Team - FPP will no longer be available on consoles in NA and EU. The lack of players made the queue impossible.
Of course, there are also a number of other minor changes coming as part of the 18.1 update for PUBG: Battlegrounds. There have been some significant changes to Paramo, especially when rocks were added for cover around Lab and Atahul, and a strange spiral-shaped object was added next to Paramo. A quest list has also been added for Game Special Drops. Also, more than a dozen permanent bugs have been fixed.
