" Escape From Tarkov " has been "out" since 2016 for those who pre-order the game on its official website, first in closed alpha and finally in a closed beta. Described as a "hardcore story-driven MMO" with RPG and FPS elements, Escape Tarkov's popularity skyrocketed at the start of the new year thanks to some popular streamers who took it over the holidays and brought in a lot of new players. It also received its biggest update in October 2019. If you're new to "Escape From Tarkov" or want to join it, now is a great time.
One thing that sets "Escape From Tarkov" apart from other multiplayer games is how detailed and fine-tuned every aspect of it is, from combat to action to inventory management. Unless you're used to more realistic military sims like ARMA or adjacent games like "DayZ" or even "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds", Tarkov's barrier to entry is slightly higher than the average shooter - if it's really the game, you'll have to learn a lot of hotkeys.
