FIFA 23 FUT Champions: Qualifiers, playoff standings, rewards, qualification

Even to access the FUT Champs playoff format in FIFA 22, you had to earn Heroes Qualification Points, which can be earned by winning matches in Ultimate Team's Division Rivals game mode.

This has pretty much become standard in the last few iterations of the game, and the system remains in EA SPORTS' FIFA 23 with players needing 1,500 points to qualify.

Qualification

EA continued by making their latest changes to the FUT Champs playoff qualifiers so you need four wins and one loss to enter the Weekend League. Qualifying has gotten easier over the years, with the first games requiring you to win four matches in a row or earn enough points through FUT Heroes .

FIFA 22 changed the layout by doing so that players had to win 5 out of 9 games to qualify for the Weekend League and eventually change it to 4 out of 9 wins.

Ranks

Even though it is not that important, there are still different levels to reach while most people are trying to get the necessary wins and win their last match.

FIFA 23 is once againavailable to Weekend League players, requiring users to take part in only 20 matches. The early years of FUT Champions were grueling as players had the potential to take part in 40 FUT Champs games.

This has dwindled in recent years as FIFA 22 only requires users to participate in up to 20 games, and there's no reason to change that number as it seems like a perfectly time-consuming amount.

FUT Heroes points and ranking system

Another area where FUT Champs has remained fairly consistent is in the ranking format and the criteria for achieving them, as there are 10 overall ratings and the required scores are largely the same. FUT Heroes are divided into ranks that players can achieve by earning a certain amount of points based on wins and losses.

• Rank 2: 72-75 points
• Rank 3: 67-71 points
• Grade 4: 60-66 points

Points

You had to earn points to move up, and that was divided into 4 points for a win and 1 point for a loss. In theory, players could lose all 20 matches in FIFA 22 FUT Champs and unlock Rank 9 rewards in-game.

What actually happened was that many players scored an own goal and quit the match, giving free wins to speed up the process. Once this formality is complete, players can get a few free wins and great rewards for not actually winning any matches.
