The Portuguese league has done it once again with an incredible array of young defenders to add to your teams. A major upgrade in FIFA 23 to Antonio Silva's speed, strength and stamina has made him an undisputed young talent , accessible to a lot of cheap and underpaid teams.

Just 18 years old, he has close to 80 speed, strength and endurance, 75 passes and close to 70 defenses. The training will do wonders for his defense and get him up and running fast.

It's extremely expensive, but for good reason. Josko Gvardiol has been one of the best Career Mode defenders in FIFA for the past few years , and FIFA 23 is no different. With his 80+ pace, power and defense from the start of his save, he's a great signing for any elite club.

Goncalo Inacio, linked to Newcastle but unlucky with injury last season, has it all. With speed, power, defense and around 80 passes, it's an expensive but strong option.

For a slightly more affordable deal, check out Lyon, which has loads of great young players. A great choice for a top and mid-table club in a top league, Lukeba has many key stats approaching 80 and must grow quickly to dominate with practice.

He had 88 potential at 16 last year, but despite being a big nerf in this department, Noah Mbamba is still one of the best deals for the more cash-strapped clubs in FIFA 23. A true prodigy can almost nail your back line if you decide to play that long for 15 seasons.

If you can meet him with around 85 tempo, 90 power and good defense and passing, he is definitely a player to be signed. One of the best great signings for more middling parties, an incredible deal that's too good to give up.

For lower league teams that don't have a lot of money, Ashley Phillips is a great option with tons of potential . While it's very low overall, its base stats aren't actually that bad, so it should be relatively usable.

Thanks to a major overall upgrade, Milos Kerkez is now a truly incredible young left-back with a great pace and stamina, as well as technical features that can be complemented by his enhanced potential.

However, he's still a versatile young talent with great speed, stamina and strength to complement his good technical skills and quietly smooth defence.

A huge boost was given to Moleiro's potential in FIFA 23 as he was in CM's listed positions. Tech players with fast, good dribbling are great at pushing the ball forward in FIFA, so it looks like this: he's a good candidate to turn into a solid shuttle.

It's tall, fast, and has the power to act like a destroyer in front of your defenses.

Another cheaper option with a lot of potential. A must-buy player for the English minor league Road to Glory, he is already a good all-rounder with good physical and technical skills.

Finally, for the offensive option on a modest budget, take a look at Cristian Volpato in Rome, who has good dribbling and usable stamina for a very cheap fee.

Another real FIFA 23 wonderkids suggesting that he sign the man who inherited Messi's number 10 jersey may seem silly, but since he's been injured for so long, I forget him on the Barça bench. Given their financial situation, it's unrealistic to think that a top team would test Barça's determination with a big offer, so don't miss out on this incredible player who already has great stats.

Rayan Cherki is a lot of fun and has a lot of potential to improve his mid move and power stats. Another classic young talent with 86 dribbles at the start of FIFA 23 .

With a 90 pace and 80 stamina, Gustav Isaksen can run and run very fast all day. A good choice for lower league teams.

The latest in a very long line of great Argentinian young talents, Zeballos has excellent speed, good dribbling and usable stamina. Everything you need to do some mischief on the wing.

If you hate low stamina players, it's very similar to Urzi Zeballos, but has 80 stamina from the start of FIFA.

He is Norwegian, with speed, strength and stamina, good technical ability with a ceiling of over 6 feet and already high potential. So much fun and so accessible.

Career Mode legend Youssoufa Moukoko has been one of the most extraordinary talents in world football for years, but is still only 17 years old. For a cheap base charge, Moukoko has great speed, dribbling and finishing from the start of your save and is a truly excellent Road to Glory player.

He's got a great finishing touch and goes all the way through, but it's actually the dominant physical prowess you're after. If you can train his mobility, he will be quite unstoppable.

Speaking of unstoppability, Brian Brobbey has been playing ping-pong between Ajax and RB Leipzig for a while in real life, but in-game he is simply undefeated. He is a deadly player with over 80 pace, 90 power, 90 jumps and near 80 finishes.

For a faster option that's still a full tank, look to Noah Okafor in the Austrian Bundesliga. With a pace of about 95 and a power of 85, he's sure to have a ridiculous amount of chances to improve his mid-'70s dribbling and finishing. Highly recommended.

With truly incredible stats for the price, Goncalo Ramos can quickly grow to get his all-important stats above 80. With his mid-70s 80's pace and power, finishing and dribbling, he's a usable tall man from the start of the save.

Some people prefer realistic signings, and France is a great place to look for players who are physically and technically capable, always ready to step up . Elye Wahi fits that mold with its '80s pace and mid '70s dribbling and finishing.

Calling his friends "Joffy", Joe Gelhardt has made comparisons to Wayne Rooney as a combative but elegant forward. With a huge boost to his potential, more and more players are attracted to Gelhardt for Career Modes, and good stats in all areas, including 80 dribbling, make him usable from the start.
