Dragon Changes in LoL Season 14

A few changes are planned for dragons in the 2024 season of League of Legends.

Dragons and Dragon Spirits have long been an intriguing part of League of Legends. Especially Flame, Hextech and Mountain Dragon are considered the most vital elements in the game and teams are fighting tooth and nail for them.

In short, the type of Dragon Spirit that spawns in the Rift often determines how much priority teams will prioritize controlling the lower area of the map.

But as of Season 2024 , the developers are introducing a few Dragon changes that could at least further increase the importance of the Spirit of Flame .

All Dragon Changes at the Start of the Season

The biggest changes coming to dragons focus on the Flame Dragon. Now when the Flame Dragon is unlocked, Infernal Ashes will appear, granting adaptive stats and a burst of movement speed. Half of these Embers can drop when the champion dies and can be picked up by allies.

This is accompanied by minor changes in the Ocean and Mountain Valley; like moving a few walls and bushes.

Therefore, as of now, Flame Valley has brought the most change. Flame Spirit is widely known for its attack skill. However, the Ash mechanic added to Valley of Flame seems to be geared towards further increasing the spirit's attack ability.

Adaptive stats and movement speed will be crucial to chasing down enemies and closing out games early. In fact, the team with better map control, gold and item status will gain big profits from this slot.

That's all we know so far about the dragon changes in League of Legends Season 2024. Stay tuned for more.
