League of Legends AFK Penalties Increased

With the last 11.3 patch update , League of Legends introduced significant changes to champions, items, and certain aspects of the game. Riot Games forgot to highlight a quality of life change introduced in the official patch notes. This is an additional penalty for remaining AFK to counter players who troll in the game. With League of Legends patch 10.24, Riot introduced better ways to counter AFK players in the game. However, these measures did not seem sufficient to the developers. With patch 11.3 , they introduced additional countermeasures to help improve the League of Legends competitive experience.
In a recent tweet from League of Legends design director Mark "Scruffy" Yetter, he spoke about the penalty adjustment introduced in patch 11.3 , saying: " We've added additional LP penalties for AFK or leaving games at 11.3. The AFK system will repeatedly increase this penalty over time. For players who leave or stay AFK, with this new system, I hope they will think twice about ruining a game.
