The competitive League of Legends tournament begins February 23. ESL and Guinevere Capital undertook the most important LoL Esports tournament organization in the Oceania region. Starting Tuesday, February 23, Oceania's best League of Legendsplayers will travel to the Rift to compete in a new format for the region. Over the course of 8 weeks and 19 game days, eight of the region's top teams: ORDER, PENTANET, CHIEFS, DIRE WOLVES, LEGACY, MAMMOTH, AVANT and GRAVITAS will compete twice over five weeks in a double-round robin where eight teams face off. At the end of the Regular Season, the bottom three teams will be eliminated. The remaining five teams will advance to the Double Elimination Playoffs on March 30-31 and April 6-7. The finals will take place on April 10, when they will compete for the inaugural LCO champions title and a spot in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). The winning team will represent OCE at MSI 2021.

" While it's been great to see Australian and New Zealand talent competing in other regions over the past few weeks, we look forward to being able to relive the growing competition within this region on February 23," said Dave Harris, Managing Director of Guinevere Capital. It took a lot of hard work to come and we really want to thank all the players, teams, brands and fans who made 2021 to be Oceania's biggest year for competitive LoL. "
League of Legends Circuit Oceania (LCO) is the name of the new 8-team LoL competition that will take on the role of the biggest Oceania regional competition in League of Legends. Less popular than other leagues, the LCO , Australian and Oceanic Legends League rivalry circuits had a somewhat rough ride, so no one was surprised or upset when the tournament was cancelled. Riot Games cited financial losses and operating costs as the reasons for delaying the league in October 2020. Upon the postponement of the tournament , Oceanic players immediately in order not to victimize the players. They created a minor rule change that made it possible for . As a result, several players in the pool were recruited into new teams.
All of LCO 's matches will be streamed live on multiple platforms, including Twitch.tv/LCO , from ESL's new, purpose-built esports studios in Sydney, with some of Oceania's best commentators and analysts present throughout the tournament on both the onsite and remote broadcast team. To accompany.

♦ Chiefs EC : Lived |Swathe | Kisee | mboma | Dragku
It has revamped the entire roster and added four new players for this season. The only player left from the previous season was support player Dragon “Dragku” Guo, who was also last season's final roster move.
♦ ORDER : MAXIMIZE | Vengeance | Chungy | Cougar | beats
Order was a team that was hit hard by Riot 's decision to dump his OCE talent into NA. Three out of five players on their former roster joined North American teams and let ORDER down. But the team has rebuilt itself and the new roster is a mix of old Mammoth and Gravitas talents. We can't be sure how well they will perform in a short time, as most teams will need time to recover this season.
♦ Mammoth : Nectaar | Buggy | Wayy | Shyfrit | Shinki
Mammoth arrives in 2021 with a brand new roster built around Academy and Soloqueue players from the region. All their squads will have a big stage experience for the first time against Pentanet.GG at the season opener.
♦ Legacy Esports : Winterer | Incursio | styled | andemelg | sybol
Another team that has been hit hard in the off-season with all of their players ending up in North America has been Legacy Esports. Recent OPL champions have had to dig deep to build a roster for the new season. They ended with five Challenger-level players in their new roster, and the full roster was finalized only a week ago. We can't expect a trophy from this team defending Legacy, but it's good that the organization wants to feature more Academy-level players.
♦ Pentanet.GG : BioPanther | Pabu | Praedyth | Chazz | decoy
Pentanet had the "easiest" off-season of all teams. They had three players returning from the previous season, and they formed the team by recruiting AvantGaming / Dire Wolves' Jesse "Chazz" Mahoney and Daniel "Decoy" Ealam. Considering that the entire cast is built on the main stage talent, we can say that when they come to the season, the team will create the easiest synergy between their players.
♦ Gravitas : Nobody | Safa | Azus | Kyose | Piglet | Aziyah
While creating its new staff, Gravitas applied to Pentanet.GG Academy staff for talent. Lachlan "Nobody" Keene-O'Keefe is the only player to return to the cast, and the cast is further augmented by former UTS jungler Blake "Azus" Schlage. Squad wise Gravitas hits the middle ground between old and new abilities and will likely be midway through the rankings as well.
♦ PEACE : Apii | LeeSA | Halo | Violet | aladoric
PEACE is the league's newest addition to Avant Gaming's empty slot. The new team also took over three of the five Avant Gaming players from Apii, LeeSA and Violet. Moreover, Aladoric is back in the team and will likely share his backup spot with Yuncheng "Chayon" Wang. The roster is rounded off by former Legacy mid-range player James "Halo" Giacoumakis. Overall, PEACE is in the same position as Pentanet.GG in terms of team synergy as it includes a large number of returning players with built-in synergies.
♦ Dire Wolves : Cupcake | Shock | Kevin | Only | Claire | gunkrab | Kalroc | praelus
The Dire Wolves did their best in creating their 2021 roster. Ari "Shok" Greene-Young and Andy "Cupcake" van der Vyver are returning to the roster for the title of the 2021 iteration. The organization acquired former Chiefs top laner Brandon "Claire" Nguyen, both former ORDER players, and two junglers proficient at Kevy and Only. The roster is rounded off by Vincent "gunkrab" Lin, formerly of Avant Gaming. Based on names alone, the Dire Wolves have one of the strongest rosters in the LCO this season and are probably the main favorites from the very beginning.
