11.6 Patch Notes Mid Lane Champions Tier List

♦ S Layer - Anivia | Kassadin | Zed | Yone | Qiyana | Zed | Talon

All of these champions' kits have the ability to make farming easier, not to mention most of them are assassins who can defend themselves in one-on-one scenarios that are common in mid lane. A unique exception to this rule is Anivia, which has a lot of crowd control useful during team fights rather than picking an enemy in its kit.

♦  A-Layer - Malzahar | Cassiopeia | Vladimir | Aurelion Sol | seraphine

Stuns, slows, silences, and even talismans are items that can be found at this stage. While each mage here is strong in his own right, has a strong lane presence and overall durability, their lack of mobility makes them vulnerable to more mobile assassins that can be found at higher echelons.

♦ B Tier - Lux | Veigar | Vel'Koz | orianna

Despite having a lot of crowd control, these champions perform better at lower elo than they do on the pro stage, with the exception of Orianna. These champions don't have many super abilities, and the crowd control they have to defend themselves with tends to have a long cooldown that makes them vulnerable to raids. Still, their damage and efficiency on the right hand is undeniable.

♦ C-Layer - Zoe | Azir | Mixed | Kog'Maw

After some changes, some of these champions are lower in the tier list than in previous patches. Their wave cleanness isn't exceptional, and while some can help with their kit, they rarely perform well as mid laners.

♦ Layer D - Ornn | Pyke | end

Most of the champions here are used in other lanes for a reason; while theoretically they can play in the mid lane, they lack some ability to poke their opponents early. Most are champions that shine late in the game, and fighting early isn't good for a mid laner.
