PUBG Mobile released statistics of banned cheaters last week, and the developers also hinted at new anti-cheat measures for the recently announced and upcoming New Age update.
According to the announcement made on Instagram , PUBG Mobile has banned more than 22,73,152 accounts caught cheating. Over 14,24,854 devices used for cheating were also suspended.
Here are some of the banned accounts:
About 32% of cheaters used X-Ray Visions to gain an unfair advantage and see the enemy's position through hatches and walls.
4% were using slowdowns to outrun enemies with an unfair move advantage.
4% of cheaters were suspended due to area damage modification, hackers could instantly kill other players with higher bullet damage.
banned due to modification of character model to gain an unfair advantage using third-party plugins.
The remaining 22% were banned for other unspecified reasons.
Also, the new anti-cheat feature in PUBG Mobile was announced before the New Age update on the official Discord server. This anti-cheat measure is called the Video Review Station.
With this system, players will be able to decide to hack the player reported in the video. If the maximum number of reviews indicates that the player is guilty, the images will be reviewed by the authorities for further verification.
The inspection station will be processed in seven steps:
A player is reported to be engaging in suspicious activity by others in-game or in the community.
A battle replay video is created from the suspect player's perspective.
The video is randomly distributed to the multiplayer inspector.
These researchers analyze the video.
Majority decides video contains evidence of cheating
The official PUBG Mobile team then investigates the breach.
If the player is found to be cheating, they will be permanently removed from the game.
PUBG Mobile aims to provide a fair gaming environment to every player. These new anti-cheat measures in the New Age update should justify that statement.
