The release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC wasn't exactly planned; Players have reported serious crashing issues causing the launcher not to open in some cases. Rockstar Games has released an update that seemingly fixes a handful of issues with related bugs and other problems. The November 5 update fixes issues with the Rockstar Games Launcher and Red Dead Redemption 2 itself. - Fixed issue resulting in Rockstar Games Launcher returning a "Failed to start Rockstar Games Launcher" error on startup
- Fixed an issue where the Rockstar Games Launcher preload decryption would get stuck
- Fixed issue resulting in Rockstar Games Launcher returning the error "The Rockstar Games Launcher has exited unexpectedly" when launching Red Dead Redemption 2
- Fixed an issue that caused crashes when launching the Rockstar Games Launcher from the Epic Games Launcher
- Fixed an issue resulting in the Rockstar Games Launcher giving the error "The game cannot be started, please verify your game data" when launching Red Dead Redemption 2 from the Epic Games Launcher
Crashing problems aren't the only ones affecting the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 . People on Reddit have reported issues with sound and FPS drops.
