Riot Games Confirms New MMORPG Game

Riot Games's MMORPG game has been known for a while. Recently, the new MMORPG-style game has been confirmed with an official statement. The story will take place in the world of League of Legends. Details are in the article.

Riot Games , the developer behind popular games like League of Legends and Valorant , has confirmed a new MMORPG game set in the League universe . In December, Riot's vice president of IP and entertainment Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street confirmed that he was working on a massive project set in the League universe. Shortly after, he announced that the new game would be an MMO , sending fans on a spree of speculation and excitement. It was also among the announcements that the new League of Legends MMO will be released in Runeterra and its eight regions. League of Legends, set in the fictional world of Runeterra, has become one of the most popular games worldwide.

First released in 2009 , League of Legends has, since its launch, created an incredibly vast network of stories and worlds with interesting characters set in an elaborate world. Apart from the popular League of Legends , Riot Games continues to develop Teamfight Tactics , its mobile LoL version League of Legends: Wild Rift , Legends of Runeterra , and the upcoming Ruined King: A League of Legends Story .

The developer company previously introduced two projects, a fighting game codenamed Project L and an action-adventure game codenamed Project F, set in the League universe, the world of Runeterra. The company shared a post on Twitter to officially announce the third game in development.

Official Statement by Riot Games on Announcements and Job Postings;

No, you are not dreaming, we are working on an MMORPG based on the League universe! We know that developing and creating MMOs requires a large number of people working, and if we are to bring Runeterra to life, we will need a sizable team. This is where you come in. We will periodically release new roles, but we do not currently have a specific open position in the team, we are just preparing for the journey.

Riot Games has started turning the wheels for the highly anticipated MMO by opening a new recruitment page on its official website . The company, considering that such games are a big undertaking, is looking for more employees to ' prepare for the journey ' for the game;

We probably won't see this game for a few more years as the developer team is still in the process of being put together. So the League of Legends community will have to wait to find out what the story will be and what the gameplay will entail.
