Two new Valorant agents have been officially confirmed by Riot Games. The announcement was made in a Developer Diary video by Anna Donlon, the executive producer of Valorant. Fans were also given a glimpse of a character who can "irreversibly stop their enemies" and "pull them closer for a closer look."
"We'll have two more agents coming into the game before 2024. Our first agent is a Sentinel. This agent is an expert at stopping opponents and can also pull them towards themselves. Later in the year, a new Duelist will join our ranks,"
In addition, it was announced that a new duelist will also be added to the agent roster. These characters are planned to be released within the year 2023.

When will the new agents be released has not been determined yet, but Riot likes to make agent announcements alongside the grand finals of VCT tournaments. For example, the announcements of Gekko or Fade came with the conclusion of VCT LOCK//IN and VCT Masters Reykjavik 2022, respectively.
Therefore, it seems likely that the announcement for Valorant's 23rd agent will come during VCT Masters Tokyo 2023.
To reinforce this possibility, Donlon used the following words:
"Announcing Gekko and Premier at LOCK//IN in front of the audience was an amazing experience. We love bringing the game and sport closer together to create moments like that,"
The final week of Masters Tokyo will take place on June 21.
In the first Developer Diary, Riot Games shared a teaser image for Agent 23. Players started speculating about the character's possible country of origin and story based on the details in the image and the messages in the Shooting Range.
In the teaser image, a cup of coffee and a plate of waffles can be seen on the left side. Players think that since waffles are specific to Belgium, the character may have Belgian origins.
However, in the recent messages in the Shooting Range, Norway was mentioned several times, and a player pointed out that the brown substance on the waffles could be Brunost or brown cheese. Such foods are typically consumed with waffles or bread.
