With the Wild Rift community growing following the open beta server expansion , League of Legends fans are wondering about Wild Rift 's ranking system. Wild Rift is the mobile version of League of Legends developed by Riot Games . Most of the in-game features are the same except for a few champion numbers, abilities, and minor changes to the player ranking system.

Unlike the PC version of League of Legends , ranked matches can be played when reaching level 10 in Wild Rift . There is no need to reach level 30 or unlock at least 20 champions to enter ranked play. In Wild Rift , Riot Games focused more on providing entry-level players the enjoyment of League of Legends ranks. Added an extra level called Emerald between Platinum and Diamond of mobile based MOBA for better skill based distribution of players . Ed “MartianSpider” Knapp, Riot's senior game designer, said:
We've added a new rank, Emerald, between Platinum and Diamond, so we can more accurately distribute players at that skill level.
