Creative Assembly 's new strategy game Total War: Three Kingdoms had a hot start. The game sold over 1 million copies in its first week to become the studio's fastest selling strategy game. The game is the #1 strategy game available on Steam today, with over 200,000 simultaneous players.
Creative Assembly 's chief product officer Rob Bartholomew said the response to Three Kingdoms "exceeded all expectations". He then added, “There's a lot of 'The best Total War series ever' sentence out there, and he added, "We're so proud."
