Valorant's New Map Might Be Related to the African Region

The new map of Valorant, which is the subject of discussion on the community pages, may be related to Wakanda, the fictional African region of the Marvel universe. There is no definite information for the map yet, but there is a lot of speculation.


Riot Games may have announced the next Valorant map location for the Chapter 2 Action 1 Battle Pass. In a recent community page post, there was some research into the specific player card found in the Chapter 2 Action 1 Battle Pass. Following the logical arguments presented on the community pages, fans feel that Riot has indicated the location of the next Valorant map.

Valorant New Map Might Belong to the African Region

There are currently five ValorantIt has a map. Bind, Split, and Haven were released with the game's release, and Chapter 1 Action 1 and Action 3, as well as Ascent and Icebox maps were included in the game, respectively. Valorant game director Joseph Ziegler touched on the new maps in the game. He mentioned several times that the dev team aims to release at least seven maps as soon as possible. Following the model of releasing maps with alternate actions, fans are anticipating that a new map will come with Episode 2 Action 2. That's why there's been some speculation and discussion on the community pages about potential upcoming Valorant maps.

Following this pattern, it is speculated that the publisher introduced something related to the Episode 2 Action 2 with the Episode 2 Action 1 Battle Pass player card at Tier 38 or Tier 48. The Tier 38 player card for the Chapter 2 Action 1 Battle Pass is called Bridge Between Worlds, and the Tier 48 is called Corporate Takeover.



Following the previous patterns, the cards are presumed to introduce something related to the upcoming Valorant Chapter 2 Action 2. Bridge Between Worlds marks an African site with trees. Interestingly, the card is named "R4kiya" in the game files. The name is probably inspired by Riot veteran VFX artist Stefan "R4kiya" Jevremovic. Putting the two cards together, fans think the map could be set in a fictional African country with advanced science and technology, possibly based on the famous fictional country of Wakanda.
