As expected, competition at the upcoming event will certainly be intense, with teams struggling to make history before the controversial VCT 2023 format kicks off.

Ten teams reached the Champions stage with outstanding performances in the various VCT Challengers and Masters, while the remaining six teams passed the Final Chance Qualifiers and claimed last-minute tickets to the international event, becoming the top teams in their region .

For the Group Stage, Riot divided the 16 participating teams into four groups of four teams each. These teams will participate in a series of matchups within their respective groups, with only two teams from each group qualifying for the Playoffs of Champions 2022.
