Valorant Champions 2022 Istanbul journey is today Edward Gaming vs. It started with the Paper Rex encounter. The event, which will be held at Volkswagen Arena between 31 August – 18 September, has a large fan base. The best 16 teams of the world, each more successful than each other , will fight fiercely for both the grand prize and the title of Valorant World Champion .

Paper Rex
Known for their aggressive play , Paper Rex has been dominating the Valorant scene in the APAC region lately with multiple wins. So much so that they showed us what they can do at VCT Phase 2: Masters Copenhagen. In their match against FunPlus Pheonix, Paper Rex showed extraordinary resistance and won 2 out of 5 matches.
There's no stopping Paper Rex this time around and they seem to be well prepared and ready to take on the best names on the international scene.
Edward Gaming
EDward Gaming is fairly new and a weak team to join the big leagues. Although initially underestimated in the first regional matches, EDward Gaming has been consistent throughout the VCT event.
Team Liquid
One of the qualified teams is Team Liquid . VCT 2022: One of the best of the tournament, securing their place among the top 16 teams in the world after winning the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. The team initially had some difficulty after the big changes that L1NK and former head coach Sliggy went through, but now they're back on their feet and ready to devour their foes.
Leviathan Esports
VCT 2022 against KRU: After winning the LATAM Stage 2 Challengers Playoffs, the Leviatán team made their mark on the stage and is ready for this year's Champions Tour .

VCT Champions 2022 Round 1 EDward Gaming's map started with Pearl. So much so that Pearl was selected for the first time in the esports scene. The attacking team started 5-0 and showed how much they wanted the trophy. Especially ZmjjKK brought a good energy to the team with his successful performance in the first three matches. However, Paper Rex closed the first round with a score of 7-6.

Later in the match, PPX takes control of the map and becomes the winner of the first round with a score of 13-11. Although it was mostly a head-to-head match, Paper Rex was a team that helped EDward Gaming relatively better, read the match better, and had the opportunity to beat EDG on their own map.

Paper Rex has been a force to be reckoned with. But EDward Gaming shows great potential. They study, read and destroy their enemies like pages from a book.

It is known that EDward Gaming played the Heaven map very quickly from their previous matches. Quickly scoring the first three games, PPX gives EDG the next five rounds. Valorant World Championship 2022 , TL vs. without slowing down. It continues with the LEV match. The first round starts with Team Liquid's chosen map. Starting the game on defense, Leviatan is on a clean 5-0 winning streak in the first five games. Using his skills very well without taking too much risk with his number advantage, LEV wins the first round 13-10 with a controlled and aggressive game.

Team Liquid starts their Acend map chosen by LEV on defense. With a quick and aggressive comeback after giving away the first four games, TL equalizes the situation, bringing the score to 4-4. The map was progressing very controversially, but LEV, which seems to be the weakest link of the group, again beats the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier champion with a score of 13-10 and makes a good start to VCT Champions 2022 with a score of 2-0.
