The year-long 2022 season of the Valorant World Championship (VCT) is finally coming to an end. After battling through various stages of the tournament, the world's top sixteen rosterwere selected as contenders for the title of Valorant Champions 2022 .
Top Valorant teams from the competing regions of NA, EMEA, APAC, China, Japan, Korea and South America will fly to Istanbul , Turkey to compete for the title of Valorant's second world champion . Between August 31 and September 18, esports enthusiasts will witness some of the most captivating moments ever seen in VCT history. Playoff matches of the tournament will be played in front of live audience at Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul.
Sixteen teams competing in VCT Champions 2022 Istanbul , according to their performances in the previous stages of VCT 2022; twelve teams were selected based on their halftime scores. In contrast, the remaining four teams earned their place in their respective LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier) events, knocking out their regional rivals.

All sixteen teams will initially be divided into groups of four. They will compete in a GSL-style group game to send eight teams to the playoffs. Teams will then enter the double elimination group to finally determine the VCT 2022 champion . Each group will have two winners.

After the group stage, a random draw will be drawn for the knockout stage. The four teams that have risen to the top of their groups will be randomly matched against the as yet undetermined runners-up of other groups. After that, the teams will play in the eight-team elimination group, and the first-placed teams will fight the second-placed teams in the first round.
