Which Control Specialist Agent is Better in Valorant

With the new 2.01 patch coming to Valorant, important changes have been made on many agents. Some of Brimstone's abilities were buffed, while Omen was nerfed. So which agent is better?

Valorant is home to many agents with unique abilities, and agents change significantly as the game evolves. With the start of Valorant Episode 2, control expert agent Brimstone received significant changes. Before the Brimstone buffs, Omen was the most notable agent among control professionals, but tweaks to Brimstone 's abilities made him a more suitable agent for the game, while Omen was nerfed.

Who is Valorant's Top Control Specialist Agent?

Until Viper was significantly replaced, he was one of the top controller agents in Valorant, but now it would be more accurate to say that he is between Brimstone and Omen . As of Patch 2.0, the developers have updated Brimstone 's capabilities .

Ultimate ability now lasts 19.25 seconds compared to 14.25 seconds before.

Enemies could hear the sound signature of Brimstone's smoke and reveal its location. In patch 2.0, the audio cue for Brimstone's ultimate ability was made undetectable.
Brimstone's Burning ability now costs 200 credits instead of 300. While the 100 credit difference may seem negligible, it can make a difference, especially in economy and pistol bullets.
Finally, the Stim Beacon no longer has an expiration date. From this point forward, when Brimstone places it, it will activate instantly.

Omen , on the other hand , has received several nerfs in his ability to balance Valorant 's pool of controllers .

Flash skill Paranoia increased from 200 to 400 credits. Before the patch, the Paranoia skill was a must-have skill every turn, but with the increase in skill cost, players may not be able to get this skill every turn.

Omen is still the only controller agent with flash ability in Valorant , and don't think his abilities are completely nerfed, he's just been tweaked so that he doesn't have a significant advantage over Brimstone . With these updates, agents will have a more balanced position in the game.

The choice between Brimstone and Omen mostly depends on each player's playstyle. Many professional players have already expressed their feelings about the changes.
