Bungie announced that the final Iron Banner inside Destiny 2 is changing tomorrow. Once the update goes into effect, you can expect a more traditional assortment of maps to be played on Crucible. Bungie shared a tweet, “The first two days of Iron Banner have been a showdown of the latest Crucible maps in Destiny 2. "Starting Thursday, the rest of the week will feature a varying mix of both new and classic maps." This Iron Banner is featured in Season of the Undying, the game's eighth season, which first appeared in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep .

Those familiar with Destiny 2 can expect this latest Iron Banner to follow the gist of previous events: level perks have been temporarily enabled in Crucible. This means that when entering a match you must be equipped with equipment with the highest Power level. But this time, not everything is the same in Iron Banner. To earn limited-time rewards linked to the event, you must first complete a new mission, this time. This quest, called Scour the Rust, is obtained from Lord Saladin in the Tower. Until you complete Scour the Rust, you won't be able to get the coins you earned for playing in the Crucible, preventing you from earning the Iron Banner's rewards.
