No matter who gets in the way; whether it's the biggest deal of all time or not, Kratos beats them. Kratos is invincible and cannot be defeated. In fact, this excellent record is a big reason why he is so loved, is a guest character in many games, and is always asked by fans to appear in other Greek-themed games. Kratos single-handedly overthrew the Temple of Pandora, the Sisters of Fate, all of Olympus, the Valkyries themselves, and even the invincible Baldur just because they were the target of his anger, or just because they were his.
Kratos has now moved on to Norse mythology, and even there, no one could beat him. He took the lives of mortals, demigods, full gods, giants and all other beings without once receiving a mortal blow. He has been to Tartarus several times, but the kingdom, which means imprisoning souls forever, does not seem to contain him, so what does this tell you? Of course, he still has his weaknesses, but what makes Kratos's so scary is the fact that he always overcomes them.
