Champions in League of Legends are often related to each other as siblings, rivals, enemies, and even lovers. However, these relationships are often ignored in-game, and the most information players gain comes in the form of occasional conversations between champions. With the release of games such as the Arcane TV series , developers began to detail the relationships between characters in a more intimate way.
The lack of in-game information may change in the future; Riot will be announcing some big changes for the 2024 Season that are sure to satisfy story-hungry fans ; So much so that he plans to add more champion missions to LoL in the new season.
Champion quests are in-game events that highlight the relationship between two characters on opposing teams. Once certain criteria are met, both teams will be given an objective to help their allies defeat the highlighted enemy, with the victor receiving a small bonus.
These missions have been available in League of Legends before; Kha'Zix and Rengar, Thresh and Senna, Ashe, Lissandra and Sejuani are just a few.
We don't yet know which champions will feature in-game in the 2024 Season , but the developers have hinted that Renekton and Nasus will have a new interaction next season.
These are just a few of the changes Riot has planned for next season, and while we don't know exactly who will get these new interactions, we'll find out when the full season releases in January 2024.
