The League of Legends 2022 World Championship has been an exciting tournament. This year the Preliminaries stage was one of the best we've seen in a while, and the Groups Stage was fun to watch. Ultimately, T1 and DRX came together in the finals where DRX prevailed in a miraculous run of the ages.
Different identities tend to play one style, and different champions adapt to different styles. We've seen a lot of new champion breakthroughs in the 2022 Worlds compared to the Summer Seasons, and it's been interesting to see how the meta has evolved.

Based on the table, several conclusions can be drawn. Aatrox has been a high priority since the World Championship started and remains the top lane choice. Kingen's Final MVP win pretty much proved the point, as Aatrox was the top pick in Games 4 and 5. Besides that, Sejuani continues to be close to the top despite not being played much in the knockout stage.
Regarding mid laners, Sylas and Azir were the go-to blinds champions. Also, Akali was used as a pick against Azir and Viktor was used against Sylas for the same purpose. These four were top picks for most of the tournament.
Yuumi and Caitlyn are almost permanently banned for most of the tournament. Election rates pretty much say it all. That's why champions like Aphelios, Kalista, and Lucian eventually found plenty of games to play alongside a late resurrection from Varus. No real support champions stood out as there were so many valid boosts for the tournament except for Yuumi.
Finally, there were ups and downs in the jungle for most of the tournament. Initially, Sejuani and Maokai were the priority, and then the teams moved towards Graves and Viego. The meta was varied enough for champions like Lee Sin, Nocturne, Vi, and Hecarim to find games even though they weren't in the top 15 list.
Therefore, the table shows the top 15 champions selected and banned for the entire tournament at the 2022 World Championship. I hope this has been informative and gives you a sense of how diverse the 2022 Worlds meta is.
