PUBG Mobile officials have changed the format of PMCO Spring Split 2021 by completely removing the Vikendi Map from the esports '21 season.
Vikendi , a 6x6 snow-themed map , was released on PUBG Mobile in December 2018 in the game's 0.10.0 update . The map was included in esports tournaments in 2019.
With the removal of Vikendi, PMCO 2021 will only be played on Miramar , Sanhok and Erangel . It is unknown if the map will make a comeback in later tournaments.
In Peacekeeper Elite League (Chinese version of Pubg Mobile Esports) matches are only played on Erangel and Miramar .
Registrations for PMCO Spring Split 2021 will begin on January 1 and end on January 24. The qualifying phase is scheduled from February 1 to February 7, while the regional group stage will take place from February 16 to February 21.
The grand finals, namely the regional finals, will be played from February 24 to February 28. Three matches will be played every day, starting at 19:00 local time in PUBG Mobile only in TPP format.
PMCO 's total prize pool will be approximately US$1.64 million . The tournament will serve as a qualifying stage for the rookie teams, and the top rookies from each region will qualify for their region's 'PUBG Mobile Pro League '.
