Finally, the PUBG release date has been announced. At The Game Awards, publisher Bluehole announced that the extraordinarily popular game will launch in Early Access on December 20.
Among the new features PUBG 1.0 will add will include climbing and vaulting, which PlayerUnknown's own Brendan Greene says will "seriously change the game." In addition, since the night of December 7, the new desert map called Miramar will also be featured.
Bluehole released a new trailer showing Miramar during The Game Awards . It allowed a closer look at the map. Unlike the current lush Erangel map in PUBG, Miramar features industrial areas, beach towns, arid desert areas and more, which the developers say will dramatically change how players approach the survival game.
PUBG will launch early access on Xbox One this month with the Xbox Game Preview program on December 12 .
