Valorant Champions 2023 , which will take place in Los Angeles in August , is an event where international leagues and China's top teams will compete for the first prize and the title of world champion .
After its success in Germany and Turkey, the third VCT 2023 final match , organized by Riot Games this year, will start very soon. Sixteen teams from EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Americas, Pacific and China will take part in the championship. As it is the first international Valorant event to be held in North America, popular teams such as the Sentinels, OpTic Gaming and 100 Thieves are expected to be found in the region. VCT 2023 will take place from 6 to 26 August, right after the Masters Tokyo and the last chance qualifiers of the international leagues.
16 participating teams will come from EMEA, Americas, Pacific and China. Riot Games has yet to reveal the format of the event, but according to previous international events, the tournament will start with a group stage followed by a double elimination playoff group.
Twelve of the 16 slots for Valorant Champions will come from the EMEA, Americas and Pacific leagues. The top three teams from international leagues will qualify for both VCT Masters Tokyo and Valorant Champions 2023, and each region will also host a final chance qualifier for Los Angeles to qualify for an additional team.
Chinese teams will compete in the Champions CN Qualifiers to find the top three teams to represent the region at the world championship. The last place has been allocated to EMEA as the winning region of VCT Masters Tokyo.
