5 Different Agent Skills to Prevent Unraveling Spike in Valorant

Astra's Gravity

Astra is one of the most popular options for a control specialist in Valorant due to its versatile astral form. Playing the role of a controller allows the player to be on the front lines and distribute Astra's abilities to suit the team's needs.

In addition to her smoke and concussion abilities, Astra can activate Gravity Field to pull players towards the center of the star, making them vulnerable.

Enemies caught in the Gravity Zone tend to double the damage for 5 seconds due to their vulnerable state. This is a nice move to distract the defending side. However, remember that Astra's ability can only be used once per game. It's a nice ability that can be used to protect Spike .

Brimstone's Burning Ability

Brimstone is one of Valorant's oldest controllers and has a skill kit to help hold the spike area or team retake. Players can place their Smoky Airspace or Satellite Strike abilities in appropriate locations by looking at the agent's tactical map. A standout ability in the toolkit is the Incinerate grenade, which players can use to inflict massive damage to their opponents.

Incinerate (Q) is one of Brimstone's primary abilities that allows players to launch a grenade at full size, which is meant to create a zone of fire that lasts 7 seconds and deals 60 HP of damage per second. This ability can only be used once per turn when purchased for 250 credits. It is the longest deterrent ability in the game and is ideal for taking time out of the enemy's hands while disarming the spike .

Killjoy's Nanosort

Killjoy has a reputation as the smartest agent in the Valorant Protocol and has a skill set to match his character. All his tech creations are ideal during defensive scenarios in competitive matchups. Killjoy's Turret and Alert Bot help deal damage to enemies, while the Nanoswarm is pretty handy for dealing significant damage in a small area.

Nanoswarm (C) can create a zone that can deal 45 HP of damage per second. Killjoy can purchase 2 Nanosorts for 200 credits each. When combined with his Alarmbot, defenseless enemies will double the damage.

Like several other agents, Killjoy has effective abilities to protect the spike. His ultimate Isolation is a particularly effective ability at the time of spike spawning .

Viper's Acid Pool

Since its initial beta, Viper has seen numerous changes to its effectiveness in ranked matches. In Chapter 4 Part 1 , Viper is the primary choice for a Controller on maps such as Icebox, Bind, and Breeze.

Venom Curtain and Venom Cloud are suitable for the control expert role and are capable of dealing temporary damage. However, Agent's standout feature is the Acid Pool ability. Acid Pool (C) launches a chemical pod, dealing damage to enemies affected by it. Agents are vulnerable for 2 seconds, taking 12 HP of damage per second.

Viper can purchase up to two Acid Pools for 200 credits each and has the freedom to deploy this ability from various locations on the map.

Sova's Shock Arrow

Sova appears in the Valorant Protocol as one of four agents in the lead role. Sova is a common choice on nearly all maps in Valorant, as exploration is invaluable for teams in competitive lobbies. Players can access information about the enemy's whereabouts with the help of the Recon Arrow and the Owl Drone, while the Shock Arrow helps it deal damage to opponents.

Shock Arrow (Q) can be fired for any area on the map and can control the charge and shot applied to fire. The Sova can choose from three charge levels and bounce the Arrow up to double. Once hit, players within this radius take 10 - 90 HP of damage.

Sova can purchase up to 2 Shock Arrows for 150 credits each. With precision and map knowledge, Sova players can accurately place Shock Arrows to confuse spike inhibitors and successfully complete the round for Attackers during the post- spike .
