A few information has been leaked about the new agent of the Valorant 2023 seasonRiot Games released Control Space Harbor with Episode 5 Part 3, patch 5.08. While it's not really new news that Riotcontinues to develop new playable characters , the codename used during development might give us a clue as to how they might look or play.
Popular data miners are talking about the leak of a new agent codename: SmokeDancer .

As we mentioned earlier, the codenames hint at what kind of agent we might see. For example, Mage was the codename for Harbor, and it can be argued that he actually looked like a waterbending wizard. Clearer examples include Deadeye for Chamber, Vampire for Reyna, and Sprinter for Neon. What might SmokeDancer mean? Could it be a new controller that focuses heavily on his Smoke abilities, or could it be a tough counter to them that can easily get past his tricks?

According to release models, Riot never added two characters with the same role back-to-back. There are also currently five controllers , making scouts the least-represented role in Valorant now.
There are currently 20 total agents in Valorant , and the latest, Harbor, is also a controller, so it's unlikely we'll get another controller agent. If that's the case though, we can expect Riot to announce it at a big event like VCT Masters Japan 2023 .
Before the Riot Games new agent is released globally, selected creators, publishers, etc. will be made available on the PBE for There is currently no information on when the new Valorant agent will debut or his abilities . We'll update this page when we have more details.
