Riot Games seems to be deeply committed to the 'One Agent per Act' policy, and with Valorant's Act 2, the developers have finally announced the new new agent. The 12th Representative of the Valorant roster will be tech-focused and referred to as Killjoy , the "German genius". Like Cypher , he'll be a master mechanic and will come loaded with incredible zone control tools.
In the news so far, we feel like Killjoy will be just as good as Cypher or Sage to slow down enemy attacks and give his teammates enough time to spin around the map.
His kit includes the Alarm Bot, the Turret , the damaging Nanoswarm grenade, and a Lockdown ultimate .
When this ability is used by the agent, it will spawn a bot, helping the 'stealth Alarmbot' hunt down enemies that fall within its area of effect.
Like Raze's BoomBot , it will follow the enemy and deal damage, the Bot can be recalled by holding the ability button.
The most controversial part of Killjoy 's kit, and also the most important, is the Turret . This ability grants a turret that can fire. The turret covers 180 degrees and fires at enemies within its range. This ability is ideal for creating a crossfire zone, spotting enemies and for a successful raid quickly. Like the Alarm Bot, the Turret can be recalled.
The Nanoswarm ability allows Killjoy to throw a grenade. Activating the grenade will drop a swarm of damaged nanobots that can cause the enemy health bar to go from 100 to 0 in seconds.
Killjoy's ultimate ability helps him equip and place a Lockdown device that separates and slows down any enemy caught in his radius.
The ability may sound overpowering, but it has an easily met reload time. The device can also be destroyed by the enemy.
