Riot Games recently announced Valorant's brand new game mode, which is not like Snowball Fight, Copy and the like: Premier. With the Premier mode, a tournament- style competitive environment awaits the players.
Despite being only two years old , Valorant has managed to maintain a healthy and growing competitive environment. Until now, the competitive circuit was mostly limited to pro tournaments only, but the game itself always had a ranked game mode. Now Riot Games has announced the same in-game tournament mode that will soon be released in Brazil. Here is a brief rundown of how this tournament mode will work.

The game mode in question will pass alpha testing in Brazil. This game mode called "Premier" is still in alpha stage and has about 60% of the functions it should have. Interestingly, this isn't a global test launch either. With the alpha test to be held between November 1st and 21st, developers want the following features to be tested.
While it's unclear at the moment whether everyone will be able to participate in this mode or whether it will be limited to Radiant rated players, Riot Games' take on this competitive aspect could completely change the entire circuit. According to the developers, in this game mode, players will be able to form a team and then compete in a series of matches. These will be considered part of a season that will usually last several weeks. Riot Games will likely offer some kind of Skill Based Matching for this mode as well.
Players will be able to form a team of five before signing up for this mode. Once they do, they will be grouped against teams of similar skill level for matches in this in-game tournament mode.
The best Valorant teams will qualify for the end-of-season tournament, and the team that wins this tournament will be known as the Division champion. Interestingly, this game mode in Valorant will allow teams to pick and ban maps, a feature seen in professional tournaments.

There is no specific launch date for the Valorant Premier mode . However, it can be assumed that it will go live before the VCT 2023 tournament season begins in February. The Premier alpha testing phase will begin on November 1st and, if executed well, could completely change the competitive landscape of the professional scene.
In the Valorant Champions Tour 2023 season, 30 teams will compete for victory. They have been selected as partners by Riot Games and will compete in multiple tournaments throughout the year. Most of the teams have already managed to announce their roster, and those that haven't will be announced soon.
