A year of international and regional Valorant games from the qualifiers to the playoffs have taken fans to the biggest event of the VCT 2022 season: the Valorant Champions 2022 tournament . The nearly month-long tournament will begin with few days left and this year's world championships are expected to attract a large crowd.

This is the first VCT Champions event to take place in front of a live crowd during the entire event. The tournament, which will start on August 31 and end on September 18, will be held at the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. All About VCT 2022 Champions Istanbul Group B

The world's top sixteen squads are split into four groups of four teams each, and the top two teams will advance to the playoffs. In addition, the format has been slightly changed. This year's VCT format provides twice as many action as last year's single elimination versus double elimination this year. Before the group matches, we have compiled the predictions and expectations for the Valorant Champions 2022 group stage for you.

Group B could be called a "Group of Death" where OpTic and LOUD are the undefeated teams in the group. Here are the four teams that will compete to advance to the next stage in Group B:

• Group B of VCT Champions 2022 is the culmination of Davids and Goliaths where OpTic and LOUD are the top teams, and it's no surprise who the Goliaths are.
• There is some competition between OpTic Gaming and LOUD. Although OpTic remains the stronger team, they are both known for their quick debuts in the second Valorant Masters.
• With a loyal fan base, ZETA Division will have to give it all to beat this tough group.
• Considered one of the dark horses of the tournament, BOOM Esports still stands in the shadow of regional giants like XERXIA and PRX. The Southeast Asian team is accustomed to placing second or third in APAC regional tournaments and has yet to make a mark on the international Valorant scene as it will be their first international broadcast.

Most of these teams have not gone against each other before that. OpTic and LOUD have faced each other twice in the previous VCT tournaments , with OpTic winning one and LOUD the other.

Estimates:

In the opening matches of VCT Champions 2022, OpTic Gaming will face off against BOOM Esports and ZETA Division LOUD. OpTic and LOUD are expected to win their early encounters. It's definitely going to be interesting to see an underdog make it to the playoffs, as it's a double elimination this time around.
