While newer players may be unaware, longtime fans of Riot Games' flagship MOBA, League of Legends , are going through a new season that lasts roughly all year. Each new season brings a lot of gameplay changes , from item updates , champion balances, and revising how all roles are played.
With Season 12 quickly ending and Season 13 not starting until early January, some are starting to wonder what will happen in the middle of these two events. The preseason kicks off here, giving Riot Games a chance to showcase their ideas for what the new season will look like.

League of Legends Pre-Season 2023 officially begins on November 16. Many changes are coming in the new season 13 , but one of the most notable is in the jungle. Forestry has been made easier as there is now a leash range that indicates how far a monster can be dragged from its camp. There are now also pets that can be brought into the forest to help, giving various power-ups depending on which pet is chosen. Check out LoL Season 13 jungle changes .
While not all upcoming changes have been made visible, many are excited to see how League of Legends will change ahead of the upcoming season.
