Tactical Battles Set 6.5 will be out in February, featuring new champions and features alongside existing onesA Medium Set release will often add new champions and features while removing champions that are beyond balance or don't thematically synergize with the Medium Set.
Bringing new champions to TFT during the Mid-Set Update is nothing new. For example, Akshan was introduced to the autofighter through the Set 5.5 release. Set mechanics have also been changed from Shadow Items to Shiny Items. A total of 12 champions have been added to Set 5.5, while 13 champions have been removed.

No official date has been announced for the TFT Set 6.5 release date yet, but it will most likelybe released on February 16 with TFT patch 12.4 ; Its future was confirmed by the developers in February, and February 12.4 is the last patch.
Set 5 with the theme of Reckoning and Destruction was released on April 28, 2021, and Devices and Inventions in November. This means fans can expect a similar April or May release timeline for TFT Set 7 , with set 6.5 taking three or four months to play.

It's not yet clear what kind of theme the set will take, but Void vs. It is very possible that we will get a set with the theme of Shurima and Targon.
