World of Warcraft: Shadowlands ' patch 9.2 will be the final chapter of the expansion, with the release date bringing with it a new arena to explore, Zereth Mortis, a new raid that sees players face off against the Jailer himself, and more. Zereth Mortis will be the main story content of patch 9.2.
The WoW 9.2 Eternity's End update will bring class changes, the return of class sets, and new mechanics and unknown lands for players to explore, including a new Raid, PvP, and season 3 for Mythic+. Shadowlands 9.2 patch notes went live on the PTR (public test area) the week of December 2, 2021. Players tested the first changes, including the new Cypher of the First Ones progression. System and various balance adjustments were made before the raid test started towards the middle of the month.

WoW PTR cycles typically last between 2.5 and 3 months, so patch 9.2's release date was expected to occur at some point between mid-February and March 2022; Blizzard has confirmed that Shadowlands' last major patch, called Eternity's End, will arrive on February 22.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has a considerably slower pace than previous expansions in terms of content releases and will apparently have a similar build to Warlords of Draenor, which only received two major patches. The ongoing epidemic and internal issues continue to plague the studio, but with WoW's 9.2 update release date on the horizon, we think the MMORPG's next expansion will garner more attention.
