In retrospect, there may not be port compatibility, details are in the article.
Ubisoft hopes players will be encouraged to return to The Division 2 , especially now that it's extremely cheap and it's coming back to New York with a DLC soon. But looking ahead, it looks like there are no plans for ports on the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 . Speaking to The Daily Star, Yannick Banchereau, co-creative director of The Division 2 , said the team "does not want to bring the game to new platforms".
“What I can tell you is that we're not making a special release for these consoles, we're just focused on working on what we're doing right now and making it as good as possible,” Banchereau said. That doesn't mean The Division 2 's days are numbered, which makes it odd given Ubisoft 's commitment to some of its longstanding issues. Xbox Series X will support backwards compatibility, and Xbox boss Phil Spencer says the already supported list is huge. This could potentially include The Division 2 , so Ubisoft may not need to work on it separately. Sony still PlayStation 5It didn't detail specs and should do so in the near future, so it's still unknown if The Division 2 will be backwards compatible here as well.
